Synopsis
There are heroes. There are superheroes. And, then there's Hancock. With great power comes great responsibility--everyone knows that--everyone, that is, but Hancock. Edgy, conflicted, sarcastic and misunderstood, Hancock's well-intentioned heroics might get the job done and save countless lives, but always seem to leave jaw-dropping damage in their wake. The public has finally had enough--as grateful as they are to have their local hero, the good citizens of Los Angeles are wondering what they ever did to deserve this guy. Hancock isn't the kind of man who cares what other people think--until the day that he saves the life of PR executive Ray Embrey, and the sardonic superhero begins to realize that he may have a vulnerable side after all. Facing that will be Hancock's greatest challenge yet--and a task that may prove impossible as Ray's wife, Mary, insists that he's a lost cause.

Hancock Rocks
If you like superhero type movies, you should love this one. An unsuspected hero coming to grips with his destiny (ala Spawn). Maybe it wasn't suppose to be a comedy but it was quite funny! I also liked how the story developed and the twist that caught me totaly by surprise. I wanted to see Hancock do more stuff and understand better where he came from but maybe that's a story for another time.
Wait for the DVD
Somewhat entertaining, but not worth the price of admission. I should have waited for the DVD to come out.
GOOD MOVIE
started slow but had its good scenes, predictable story and all ends well
Really didn't think it was
Really didn't think it was that great of a movie, the profanity was in excess and was really not needed for you to understand that Hancock was not your normal super hero so if you're taking kids think twice.
Great movie
This movie was alot better than the trailer. My teenagers thought it was great too!
Hancock Review
I found the movie to be hilarious from beginning to end. Will Smith is phenomenal even as a drunken and eventually reformed superhero. Kudos to Mr. Smith once again for an awesomely entertaining film. I can hardly wait for the DVD to be released so that I can watch it again and again.
Mr. July has done it again!!!
Mr.July has done it again!!! This is a fun, funny and very well acted movie. I saw it during a crowed late evening showing. The crowd seemed to laugh through out the movie (unlike Mal Vincent’s review implied). The graphics are stunning and the plot had a few twists and turns that took everyone by surprise. Next time you watch one of the recent blasts of super hero films, take the time to look at how the good guys tore up the city during a fight (even in a harmless movie like The Incredibles). This movie causes you to think about that subject in a light heated way and how someone so powerful can still be flawed by a loss of purpose and identity. Just remember that it’s more of a comedy/action flick then serious drama. I don’t have any idea how anyone could give this movie less then 3 or 4 stars. This is definitely a movie that should be seen on the big screen, so unless you have a wide screen TV, check it out in the theater.BTW....Stay for an extra scene during the credits.
HANCOCK
GREAT MOVE ALOT OF ACTION AND SPECIAL EFFECTS WORTH THE MONEY TAKE YOUR FAMILY AND ENJOY
Fun film, Will Smith Does it Again!
In my opinion, it's a fantastic, fun, enjoyable, and over all great film! It's Will Smith as you've never seen him. He plays against type, and for an actor to take such a chance, is noteworthy. Will Smith pulls it off nicely. You can see the un-willingness of his character in the beginning, and then a change as the movie progresses. You see his character grow and progress. The movie has a good amount of laughs, action and drama and it moves along at a very good pace. I have a feeling this movie will do very well! I enjoyed the performances of the actors and loved the twist! Go see this film!
Not worth the Time!
I saw this movie last night. It was absolutely terrible! For once, Mal Vincent actually got a review right. Don't waste you money or time on this movie.
