High of 90 today, but cooler temperatures on the way

The high today is expected to reach 90 with a chance of storms to cool things down, according to the National Weather Service.

A slight chance for showers will begin after 2 p.m. and continue through tonight, the weather service says.

The low tonight is expected to be about 69, according to the weather service forecast.

Tomorrow’s high may not make it out of the high 70s with mostly cloudy skies, the weather service says. Highs in the 70s should continue through Wednesday and Thursday.

Air quality today in Hampton Roads is expected to be moderate, according to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
