Recognition ceremonies

There are milestones for everyone in the service. When you make Chief, Commander, pass an important exam. There are times when you are at sea and you just celebrate with our shipmates and times when your whole family is included.

My husband hit a milestone this week and I really wanted to be there for the ceremony. I campaigned for a few weeks that I really wanted our kids and me to be there. My husband initiated a lot of the footwork, and said to me, "Can you be there at 7:00 am on Friday morning?" I do not know about you but 7:00 am is quite early to have two kids and me ready. Keep in mind his work is 45 minutes from our house. We actually got there on time and were able to see the ceremony--now I need my own recognition for getting everybody there dressed and ready by 7:00. It should count for something. Have a great weekend!
