Weather service: Highs in the 60s today with gusty winds

Today will be dry but expect gusty winds as high as 37 mph, the National Weather Service says.

The high today will be about 61 with mostly sunny skies, the weather service says.

Tonight is expected to be mostly clear with a low of about 37.

The highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will be back in the 50s.

A high surf advisory has been issued for today through the evening for the Outer Banks. The advisory means that winds off the coast could result in high surf and some beach erosion.

A small craft advisory has been issued for coastal waters from the Eastern Shore to the Outer Banks. A gale warning was issued for the Atlantic waters.
